Overheard: QE2 To Be Scrapped?

According to reports coming out of the UK and Dubai, where she is berthed, the Queen Elizabeth 2 may be scrapped.

The classic ocean liner was placed in Dubai when she retired, with owners buying her from Cunard Line and Carnival Corporation with sights set on turning her into a hotel and landmark.

With the financial crisis following after her retirement, little progress has been made, and the latest rumors circulating are that the owners are now accepting offers to scrap the vessel.
