Following the announcement that the ex-Pacific Sun will start Chinese cruise service for HNA Tourism, Cruise Industry News has learned that Star Cruises is involved in the project.

According to various sources familiar with the situation at the 2012 Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific convention, the ship will begin her deployment in 2013 following a refurbishment, and Star Cruises has signed on to manage the vessel for HNA.

When asked, a Star Cruises spokesperson declined to comment.

Interestingly, if reports are to be believed, the ship will sail from Sanya, which Star Cruises currently plans to homeport two of its ships in this coming season.
