Azamara Club Cruises today announced the promotion of Edie Bornstein to senior vice president of Sales and Marketing for the destination-immersive cruise line. Ms. Bornstein has nearly 30 years of experience in the global cruise, travel, and technology industries, and most recently held the position of vice president of Sales and Marketing. She leads a marketing team and field sales organization dedicated to the brand, and works closely with the extensive global network of Azamara Club Cruises’ parent Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd. outside of North America.
“This newly created position recognizes Edie’s enormous contributions to Azamara’s relationships with the worldwide travel agency community,” said Larry Pimentel, President and CEO for the up-market cruise line. “Azamara Club Cruises is growing exponentially in both travel agency reach and direct consumer awareness. So it’s fitting that we grow Edie’s portfolio exponentially as well.”
Prior to joining Azamara – which launched in 2007 – Edie Bornstein was Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for Carnival Cruise Lines. Previously she was a senior officer at Cunard and Seabourn Cruise Lines where she developed profitable strategic plans and partnerships with a series of international luxury products and services – including Hermes, Canyon Ranch Spa, Dunhill and Veuve Clicquot. Earlier she served as Vice President Global Distribution System for Amadeus.
