The cruise industry will get a nice marketing push this weekend, as Indianapolis hosts Super Bowl XLVI, between the New York Giants and New England Patriots.
The cruise angle comes with standout New York Giants’ wide receiver Victor Cruz, who had a breakout 2011 season and will undoubtedly be a scoring threat in the big game. With much attention during the television broadcast on Cruz, with over 100 million people watching, the cruise industry stands to benefit just based on name recognition alone.
A 30 second ad buy on the NBC-televised game costs roughly $3.5 million.
