The Aruba Ports Authority has reported 73,091 cruise visitors in November 2011, bringing the total number of passengers for the first 11 months to 496,625, up 2 percent from last year. The average number of passengers per ship is 1,741 with an average occupancy level of 95 percent, according to the port authority.

Also, 30,202 crew members visited Aruba, bringing the total number of crew members for the year to 209,202, an increase of nearly 4 percent over last year.

Fifty calls are slated for the month of December, including ships from AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Crociere, Holland America Line, Ola Cruises, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Pullmantur Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Silversea Cruises.

First time callers include t he Costa Mediterranea, the Carnival Valor, and the Ola Esmeralda, the former Black Prince, sailing out of Venezuela.
