Organizational Changes at Expedia CruiseShipCenters

After nearly 24 years as the Founder, CEO and strategic steward of Expedia® CruiseShipCenters®, Michael Drever has decided to officially step out of the day-to-day operations of the company and move into a non-executive Chairman’s role.

In this new capacity, and as a member of the board of directors, Michael will contribute his strategic vision while the company continues to focus on its franchise expansion throughout North America. Current president Matthew Eichhorst will assume all strategic execution and day to day responsibilities currently performed by Drever.

“I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished thus far”, says Drever. “I am also greatly appreciative of the work Matthew has done in providing excellent operational leadership for the past 9 years. I step into this new role confident that he and the senior leadership team will take Expedia CruiseShipCenters to the next level, as the retail host agency network of choice for cruise and vacation specialists and their customers”.

This organizational change begins the next chapter in the development of Expedia CruiseShipCenters from start-up in 1987, to Canada’s cruise and franchise leader, and ultimately to the strategically important member of Expedia, Inc. that it is today.
