To celebrate the anniversary of its activity, the Seamen’s Club of Le Havre in association with the Le Havre Tourist Office had an art exhibition on display at the cruise terminal, which is scheduled to run through the end of June.

Two local artists’ photos and portraits were dedicated to the seafarers and their contribution to maritime history and culture.

These celebrations mark the Day of the Seafarer (June 25) and pay tribute to the world’s seafarers.

Along with the growing cruise activity at Le Havre, the Seamen’s Club plays an increasing role by welcoming the cruise workers to help them relax and get in touch with their families at home.

When Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas berthed at Le Havre in June, the Seamen’s Club welcomed the 1,000 crew member from a cruise ship in 2011.
