Costa Cruises, is one of the partners for this year’s “Notte Rosa” (Summer’s New Year’s Eve, when the Adriatic Riviera turns pink) in Emilia Romagna (www.lanotterosa.it). The Italian company will be dedicating to the festival the first nighttime sailing of its brand new flagship Costa Favolosa (www.costafavolosa.com), recreating the unforgettable appearance of the legendary “Rex” in the movie Amarcord by Fellini.
On the night of July 1 – during the Favolosa’s premiere cruise departing from Venice, and ahead of her naming ceremony, which will be held in Trieste on July 2 – the largest cruise ship flying the Italian flag, lit up for the gala evening, will appear off the Romagnola coast in all her majestic beauty, her portholes like stars in an atmosphere reminiscent of Federico Fellini’s cinema.
At 11:50 pm the beach at Cattolica will be the ideal vantage point for an exceptional fireworks display at sea, staged by the Italian cruise company to celebrate its new ship.And that’s not all. Activities and entertainment on board the Costa Favolosa will keep to the subject of the “pink” color of the festival.
The people at the “Notte Rosa” non-stop pink party will be the first to actually welcome the new flagship in action after the delivery of the ship, which will take place on June 31st.
