10% More Guests on Costa Ships this Easter

Costa Cruises has confirmed its continuing growth for the upcoming Easter holiday period. Fleet capacity being equal, the total number of Guests taking a cruise with Costa at Easter 2011 will be 10% higher compared to Easter last year.

This Easter, Costa Cruises is offering a wide range of vacation options, with some 14 ships to choose from. The lion’s share of the cruises will be in the Mediterranean, with 12 ships deployed .

At Easter 2011 the Costa Serena, Costa Concordia and Costa Magica will be offering 8-day Western Mediterranean cruises. The Costa Serena’s itinerary takes in Savona, Naples, Catania, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseilles; the Costa Concordia will be operating on the route Savona, Civitavecchia, Palermo, Malta, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona; while the Costa Magica will be porting at Savona, Civitavecchia, Palermo, Cagliari, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseilles.

Two ships will be deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean, again on 8-day cruises: the Costa Fortuna, on a route to the Greek islands taking in Venice, Bari, Olympia, Santorini, Rhodes and Dubrovnik; and the Costa Atlantica bound for Greece and Turkey with the following itinerary: Venice, Bari, Olympia, Izmir, Istanbul, Dubrovnik.

For people who only have a few days’ vacation, Costa Cruises offers the chance to book short cruises, lasting from 4 to 6 days, again in the Mediterranean. Featuring on these routes are the two sisters ships Costa Luminosa and Costa Deliziosa, the two most exclusive ships in the fleet: the Costa Deliziosa will be departing on April 21 on a 4-day cruise on the route Savona, Barcelona, Ibiza, Ajaccio; the Costa Luminosa sets sails on April 19 on a 6-day vacation porting in Savona, Ajaccio, Palma de Mallorca, Cagliari, Malta and Capri. In addition to these two “top of the range” ships, the Costa Victoria is scheduled to depart on April 20 on a 5-day cruise with the following itinerary: Savona, Barcelona, Pala, Cagliari, Ajaccio.

Those lucky enough to enjoy a longer vacation can take advantage of an 11-day cruise to Greece and Turkey on the Costa Pacifica, another 11-day holiday on the Costa Mediterranea, this time to the Canary Islands, or 12 days on the Costa Allegra on a cruise to the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, those who prefer more exotic destinations will opt for the 11-day cruise on the Costa Classica, leaving Singapore on April 23 and bound for some of the finest places in Vietnam, China and Taiwan.
