Norwegian Cruise Line is introducing EasyFare, a new promotional code that further streamlines the line’s promotional code structure and booking process. The new code replaces PG6 and will better represent Norwegian’s philosophy of being easy to do business with as part of its Partnership 2.0 initiatives. EasyFare takes effect on April 1, 2011.

“We’ve seen that nearly 50% of our travel partner bookings are made through automation. Therefore, we wanted to give them a code that was easy to remember and was designed so they could quickly get the best possible pricing for their clients by using this simple and straightforward code,” said Crane Gladding, Norwegian’s senior vice president of revenue management and passenger services.  “With EasyFare, we wanted to further streamline the booking process and continue to demonstrate that we are committed to our travel partners and making the process easier for them.”

Since introducing Partnership 2.0 in late 2008, Norwegian has implemented more than 100 initiatives that have made changes to the way Norwegian does business in order to strengthen its relationships with travel partners, at all levels. The program has included faster payment of group commission, establishment of a fully empowered resolution desk, simplified pricing quotes, enhancing reservations agents’ product knowledge, faster credit card processing, improved credit card procedures, and paying commissions electronically, among many other things.
