New Fan Coil AC Units

Noske-Kaeser of Hamburg has developed a new series of fan coil units (FCUs) for cruise cabins. The smallest FCU is called CabinCon and provides air flow that can be regulated in three steps with extremely low noise, according to Rainer Olbricht, key account manager of Noske-Kaeser GmbH. The compact units weigh 22 kilo.

With its new room control unit, the airflow and temperature can be regulated individually by the cruise passengers or via a central control station.

The company is promising longevity and low maintenance. Olbricht said in a prepared statement that the plug-in units can be replaced in 15 to 20 minutes.

Noske-Kaeser is continuing to focus on further optimizing components in terms of energy consumption and reduced maintenance. The units are applicable for different ship sizes due to a wide range of available air flow volume and cooling capacity. The FCUs have an air flow of 750 to 3000 cubic meters and a cooling capacity ranging from 3 to 21 kilowatt. The units meet all cruise requirements such as hygienic demands due to stainless steel coating, according to Olbricht.
