Intercruises Creates Nordic/Baltic Sea Region

Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services has created the Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea region, with calls already confirmed for 2011. The region encompasses destinations in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, with a local Intercruises team of ground handling experts based in the new Intercruises Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea office in Copenhagen.

“Cruising in the Nordic Countries and Baltic Sea is currently going through a strong period of growth, which we expect to continue into the future. The creation of this region is in reaction to increasing client demand for Intercruises services in the area. We now have an experienced local team in place with the resources to supply the high standard of service that has been the backbone of Intercruises worldwide success.” Said Mark Robinson, Managing Director at Intercruises.

Bo Madsen has joined Intercruises as Regional Manager Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea. Bo has eight years experience organizing operations in the region and previously ran shore excursions for a variety of cruise lines in different locations worldwide.  Marie Poulsen has taken on the role as Regional Supervisor Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea, having previously held the positions of Cruise Supervisor, Cruise Coordinator and Hotel Coordinator with an experienced ground handler based in Denmark.

“I am delighted to take on the role and believe that as Intercruises Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea we have a strong future and will be a catalyst for future growth of the cruise industry in the area.” Said Bo Madsen, Regional Manager Intercruises Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea.

The new Nordic Countries & Baltic Sea region continues Intercruises’ worldwide growth, following the recent creation of the Intercruises North America & Caribbean region, rebranding of Intercruises Australia and acquisition of Top Class in France.
