Pullmantur Confirms Brazilian Efforts

As reported on Cruise Industry News earlier this week, Spanish-based Pullmantur Cruises has officially announced its new office in Brazil while ending charter agreements with tour-operator CVC.

Pullmantur executives were quoted in Brazilian media saying it is “time for the company to expand its activities in Brazil.”

Pullmantur did confirm though, through a press conference this morning, that CVC will still be marketing cruises, thus playing more of a travel agent role going forward.

Traditionally, CVC has chartered a number of Pullmantur ships since 2003 for the winter season in Brazil.
