Westin New York Targeting Cruise Passengers

The Westin New York Hotel, in Times Square, is paying attention to the recent surge in cruise passenger traffic in the Big Apple. The hotel has rolled out special pre- and post-stay packages, which includes rooms starting from $305 a night, a $50 spa credit, fitness center access, one in-room movie viewing, two bottles of water and a late checkout.

Hotel executives told Cruise Industry News they were working to educate travel agents on the offer by cold calling various agencies. Additionally, a hotel spokesperson said that they had created specialized flyers.

Hotel officials have also attended the NTA (National Tour Association) conference, meeting with cruise lines. They plan to continue to reach out to the industry by attending cruise vendor shows at the lines’ call centers.
