Tug Turns Back During Splendor Tow

One of two tugboats pulling the Carnival Splendor back to San Diego has withdrawn itself from the rescue operations.

According to reports, the tug did not have enough power to pull the large cruise ship, and another tug is on its way to the ship.

The Splendor suffered an engine room fire on Monday, leaving it without power. While basic power was been restored, the ship is on tow back to San Diego, where it is expected to arrive Thursday afternoon.
