On September 15, 2010, CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. – which, as part of World Travel Holdings (WTH), comprise the nation’s leading cruise travel retail network - celebrated the grand opening of their new Fort Lauderdale World Headquarters. Hundreds of Florida-based CruiseOne Franchise Owners, Cruises Inc. Independent Contractors, corporate employees from CruiseOne, Cruises Inc. and their WTH sister brands, as well as the WTH executive team networked with top industry suppliers, colleagues and partners. Notable attendees included Ft. Lauderdale Mayor John P. "Jack" Seiler, executives from every major cruise line, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), and other notable South Florida business leaders.
The new world headquarters houses over 90 employees, including the CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. executive team, business development, training, finance, technology, operations, customer care, marketing and network development teams. The space also accommodates team members from the World Travel Holdings’ house brands.
Speaking during the event were Dwain Wall, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CruiseOne & Cruises Inc.; Jeff Sherota, Vice President of House Brand Marketing for WTH; and Brad Tolkin, Co-Chairman/Co-CEO of WTH.
In his opening remarks, Wall commented that “this exciting move allows CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. to continue our evolution as the leading cruise retailer nationwide.” He continued, “it also allows us to continue finding innovative ways to support our expanding network of franchise owners and independent agents and, just as importantly, the new space lets us continue adding to our team, further solidifying World Travel Holdings’ economic impact on South Florida.”
Innovative capabilities at the new facility include a state-of-the-art training center that enables CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. to train more franchise owners and agents, utilizing the most modern technologies available today. Other attributes of the new headquarters include a studio, which will be used for creative training programming in the future, and offer consumers who are passionate about cruising a new type of content and interaction.
