French Riviera Cruise Club Outlines Plans for 2010

The French Riviera Cruise Club (FRCC) has outlined its objectives for 2010. They are to promote two new ports of call, Antibes and Golfe-Juan; create a tour package for cruise passengers – to be ready this spring; maximize the economic impact of cruise calls on the local business community; host workshops for its members; and in general improve the visibility of the FRCC.

Last year the FRCC implemented a personalized welcome program for passengers for all the ports, including signage and maps making it easier for passengers to find their way, including suggestions of places to visit. The FRCC also started a database so it can send passengers further information to encourage return visits.

The FRCC was launched in 2007 and has 50 members – ports, tourism interests and local businesses – promoting the Cote d’Azur as a cruise destination.
