Port of Los Angeles – Three Cruise Ships on Busiest Day Ever (photos)

More than 17,000 passengers moved in and out of the World Cruise Center at the Port of Los Angeles, on Sunday Nov. 22,  marking the busiest cruise day in the history of the port.

Three ships – The Golden Princess, The Star Princess and The Mariner of the Seas – spent the day disembarking and embarking passengers. At one point in the late afternoon, two blimps hovered over the ships. ‘This was a day for the Port of Los Angeles to shine,” said Executive Director Geraldine Knatz, Ph.D. “Considering the number of people who came through, the logistics went remarkably well.”
