Compagnie du Ponant Cruises and Windstar Crusies are offering special Monaco Grand Prix sailings. Ponant sails seven-days roundtrip from Nice on May 13 with its new 264-passenger Le Boreal and will call in Cannes during the film festival, before proceeding to Monaco for the May 15 and 16 race weekend.

Ponant said that the cruise will include evening gatherings, organized events and entertainment. Cruise rates start at $3,390 per person, and race tickets in Monaco can be purchased when the cruise is booked, according to Ponant, which did not give any ticket prices for the event. Transfers in St. Tropez, Cannes and Monaco are by tenders and Zodiac.

While Le Boreal returns to Nice on Monday, May 17, where guests may disembark, they may also stay on another three days at no extra charge, disembarking in Civitavecchia on Thursday, May 20.

Windstar will sail an eight-day cruise from Civitavecchia to Nice with the 312-passenger Wind Surf, starting May 9, also combining the race with the Cannes Film Festival. Cruise rates being at $2,999 per person, double occupancy.

A Monaco 68th Grand Prix Package Tour is offered at $2,700 per person, running from Friday, May 14, ending Sunday evening, May 16. The package includes cocktail party and dinner at L’Hermitage, entrance to the Grand Casino, and binoculars, race program, ticket holder, souvenir hat and jacket.

Guests will watch practice and qualifying from reserved seats in Tribune K in Saturday and the race on Sunday. Box lunches will be available. All transfers ashore in Monaco are by tenders.
