Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore the hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world’s most treasured destinations, offers special rates on holiday and New Year’s cruises in the Caribbean and Costa Rica.

Wind Spirit’s holiday and New Year’s sailings feature a new St. Martin itinerary. The 7-day Caribbean cruises visit St. Kitts, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, and St. Barts. Wind Spirit’s holiday sailing departs December 19, 2009, with cruise rates from $2,349 per person, double occupancy. The New Year’s sailing departs December 26, 2009, with cruise rates from $2,449 per person, double occupancy.

Wind Star’s 7-day holiday and New Year’s cruises sail roundtrip from Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica and visit San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua and the Costa Rican ports of Playas del Coco, Quepos, Bahia Drake, Curu and Tortuga Island. Wind Star’s holiday sailing departs December 19, 2009, with cruise fares from $2,549 per person, double occupancy. Wind Star’s New Year’s sailing departs December 26, 2009, with cruise fares from $2,649 per person, double occupancy.

Wind Surf’s 7-day holiday sailing departs December 20, 2009, from Bridgetown, Barbados visiting ports of call in St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, St. Kitts, Nevis, St. Barts and Bequia. Wind Surf’s New Year’s sailing departs December 27, 2009 and visits Bequia, Martinique, Dominica, St. Kitts, Nevis and Grenada. Cruise rates for both sailings start at $2,249 per person, double occupancy.

On the holiday sailings, each Windstar ship is decorated with beautiful holiday decorations including trees, wreathes, garlands and lights. Guests savor a holiday menu specially prepared by the ships’ executive chefs featuring roasted turkey and traditional accompaniments in additional to other culinary delights.

On New Year’s voyages, guests will be able to partake in a festive New Year’s Eve party complete with party favors, live music, official countdown by the captain and champagne toast.
