Cruise West (www.cruisewest.com), one of the world’s leading providers of small-ship exploration cruises to the most fascinating destinations on earth, has hired Jayme Porkolab to the position of Director, Global Sales. Porkolab will focus on developing Cruise West’s sales department into a world-class organization. She will be responsible for the outside sales, internal operations, reporting and analysis of this critically important area for the company. Jayme comes to Cruise West with a wealth of sales and management experience having spent the past eight years in Director level positions with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL) and 20 years in leadership positions in the airline industry.

In her two plus decades of travel service, Ms. Porkolab spent eight years with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. in leadership roles including Regional Sales Director, Director of Group Sales, Director of Customer Relations and Director of Strategic Air Sourcing and Operations. In her last role she oversaw the Air / Sea Department which forecasts and negotiates air sourcing costs to support all brands under RCCL (Azamara, Celebrity Royal Caribbean and Pullmantur). Prior to joining RCCL, Jayme held leadership positions in Operations Management, Sales & Marketing and Sales Analysis with American Airlines and US Airways.
Porkolab hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, and holds a Master’s in International Business from Xavier University. In addition, she attended seminars in World Economics at Sophia University, Tokyo, and is a certified “Green Belt” for the Six Sigma / Lean process. She reports directly to Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer Richard Genovese.
