Crystal’s Theatre at Sea Celebrates Theatre Guild’s Milestone with Stars

This summer, Gena Rowlands, Susannah York, Patricia Neal and some of the finest names in theater will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Theatre Guild on Crystal Symphony’s Theatre at Sea Experiences of Discovery cruise. The August 12, 11-day sailing from Stockholm to London will feature live performances from some of the Guild’s most famous productions, including Porgy & Bess, Oklahoma and Carousel. The artists will also perform their own works throughout the voyage.

The roster of esteemed performers includes:
Gena Rowlands – The Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning actress presents her latest film, Broken Promises, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival;

Patricia Neal – The Academy Award-winning actress performs her acclaimed play, As I am, chronicling her remarkable life;

Susannah York – The Academy Award-nominated actress presents her one-woman show, The Loves of Shakespeare’s Women;

Lucy Arnaz and Laurence Luckinbill – Performing together, the Emmy Award-winning duo presents songs from Ms. Arnaz’s cabaret show and scenes from Mr. Luckinbill’s plays;

Lee Roy Reams – Critically acclaimed for his Broadway role in The Producers, Mr. Reams presents a musical journey through the works of Jerry Herman, one of Broadway’s finest composers; and Patricia Routledge – The celebrated English actress and lovable Mrs. Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances will present scenes from her award winning plays and musicals.

Founded in 1919, the Theatre Guild has since produced more than 220 Broadway plays, and is credited with fostering the successes of Gershwin, Shaw, Rodgers and Hammerstein, among others.

Ports include Stockholm, Helsinki, Warnemünde, Copenhagen, London, and three days in St. Petersburg. Guests wishing to enjoy London’s West End theater can extend their vacation with Crystal’s “Classic” or “Classic-Plus” Hotel Program.
