Costa Cruises Signs with Discover The World Marketing

Costa Cruises, a division of Carnival Corporation and an Italian cruise line that is the market leader in Italy and across Europe, has selected Discover the World Marketing for passenger sales representation in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore beginning this month.

“We are increasing our commitment to Asia and the Middle East in 2009 through our new itineraries and the deployment of the Costa Classica to Asia and the all-new Costa Luminosa to the Middle East,” said Dario Rustico, Costa Cruises’ Director of Sales and Marketing, Pacific Asia Operations. “We believe Discover the World Marketing with its experien ce in the region, will be able to complement our expansion in these regions.”

“We are delighted to partner with Costa Cruises for the first time, which marks the 10th cruise line we represent in our global network,” said Jenny Adams, CEO of Discover the World Marketing. “Discover has been instrumental in helping our cruise clients tap into new markets and, as a result, many of our clients have won numerous sales awards for being top producers. We offer a unique sales and marketing representation solution through our neutrality in the market, by penetrating and building relationships with all trade sales channels; educating travel agencies on selling their product; and developing brand awareness with local consumers through creative promotions.”

“Given our track record combined with Costa Cruises’ unique Italian style cruising experience, Costa Cruises will only benefit from increased market share in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore,” added Adams.

Discover the World Marketing has more than 27 years of experience operating a unique and truly global network consisting of 82 offices in 54 countries. Regardless of size, Discover offers simple, manageable and effective solutions to fit any company’s needs and budget.
