Voyage to the Top of the World with Fred. Olsen in Summer 2021

A 28-night Arctic exploration in August 2021, taking in the natural wonders of Greenland, Iceland and northern Norway, is the latest itinerary to be previewed from Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ 2021-2022 ocean program, ahead of its full unveiling in March next year.

This “Midnight Sun & Northern Lights” scenic cruise will give guests the chance to divert away from the beaten tourist track and catch the last of the midnight sun, with early glimmers of the northern lights in Iceland, the company said.

On this nature-lovers’ getaway, there is also a chance to marvel at the fjords, waterfalls and e villages of Norway, as well as the opportunity to go whale-watching in Iceland, explore remote Svalbard – the world’s most northerly town – and take in the panoramic views and dramatic landscapes of rugged Greenland.

“We are very excited to be releasing this itinerary early from our 2021-2022 program, giving a taste of the many Fred. Olsen adventures to come,” said Jackie Martin, Marketing and Sales Director at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in a statement. “This exceptional experience has been timed especially to enable guests to enjoy the spectacular ‘midnight sun’, along with the first sightings of the ‘aurora borealis’ in Iceland, together with unrivalled scenery and endless opportunities to spot marine and land wildlife in their native habitats.”

The Boudicca’s 28-night “Midnight Sun & Northern Lights” cruise, departs from Dover on August 14, 2021.

Ports of call include Romsdalfjord, Tromsø, Svalbard (all Norway), Reykjavík (Iceland), Nanortalik (Greenland), Akureyri (Iceland) and Dover (United Kingdom).

This is the second itinerary to be announced from Fred. Olsen’s 2021-2022 ocean cruise program, following the recent release of its 26-night “Corinth Canal & Greek Islands Cruise,” when Braemar will be returning to the Corinth Canal in Greece for a third time, in September 2022, offering another opportunity to experience this world record-breaking Canal transit.
