Costa Launches New Initiatives to Encourage Holiday Advanced Bookings

Italy and Europe’s number 1 cruise company is looking on the bright side in the sales and marketing campaign due to launch very soon in several of the company’s European markets. The optimistic campaign features a number of positive-thinking measures designed to entice customers not only into booking their cruise holiday but to book it now to take advantage of the very affordable prices.

The message at the heart of the campaign targeting travel agents and potential customers alike is “Are you looking for good news? Well, Costa Cruises has got at least 3 to tell you”.

The good  news are:

– Amazing deals when booking a cruise on a winter or 2009 spring-summer  departures

– New special offers for families: children travel free of charge in their parents’ cabin or at a very convenient fare if a separate cabin is booked for them

– cancellation of the fuel surcharge for all cruises departing  from 1° January 2009 (valid for all bookings starting from 4 November 2008): the price of crude oil has been dropping over the past few weeks, and even though this hasn’t had a direct effect on the company’s fuel costs yet, Costa Cruises has decided not to apply fuel supplement to the price of its cruises anymore (with the exception of fuel surcharge applied by air carrier). Passengers who have already booked a cruise departing from 1 January 2009 will see this charge refunded with a credit to be spent on board; this policy could be revised in case of future consistent increase of the crude oil price*;

– new advantages for people  who book their Costa Cruise holidays well in advance: with a minimum deposit of just €30, it is possible to book a Costa cruise at the affordable Pronto Price price and not pay any cancellation fee until 45 days before the date of departure.

With this initiative the Company, besides demonstrating how competitive is the holiday industry, also wants to show that even when things are tough, Costa Cruises can help make holiday dreams come true.
