Iwakuni Targets More International Cruise Ships

The Diamond Princess will make its debut at the port of Iwakuni on October 11, 2018. Iwakuni is part of Japan’s Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The port has mainly catered to Japanese cruise lines but is targeting more international visits, which started with a call by L’Austral in 2015.

The port authority has various attractions pier-side welcoming for passengers, and a fireworks show follows in the evening as ships depart.
