SkySea to Offer Alipay, Accept Direct Bookings

SkySea Cruise Line announced that it will roll out Alipay, one of China’s leading third-party payment platforms, to begin accepting mobile payments on the SkySea Golden Era on Sept. 17.

SkySea will also launch its new website on September 12, offering direct booking and online stateroom selection.

This is the first time SkySea will accept third-party mobile payments onboard. Ken Muskat, CEO of SkySea Cruise Line, pointed out that cooperation with Alipay is an important strategic alliance for SkySea to improve the guest experience.

“In the past, we’ve relied on our high quality product and outstanding value, with guests experiencing the four specialties of SkySea—Gourmet Food, Themed Activities, Five-Star Service and MICE. In the future, we will continue to place emphasis on enhancing the guest experience, constantly improve the quality of products and services, and further build SkySea as the preferred international cruise brand for Chinese tourists,” Muskat said.
