SkySea Wins MICE Innovation Award

SkySea Cruise Line has won the “MICE Innovation of the Year” award for cruise operators in the 2017 China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards.

The awards ceremony, hosted by M&C China Magazine, took place in Beijing, August 22, 2017.

The SkySea Golden Era has successfully tailored 10 large MICE projects so far in 2017, 20 percent up on 2016, the company said.

SkySea prides itself on being the MICE leader in the market due to its ability to deliver flexible, customized and cost efficient MICE programs on a ship that is ideal in size for MICE business in the China cruise market, said a statement.

Frank Yan, Vice President of Sales for SkySea Cruise Line, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Ken Muskat, CEO of SkySea Cruise Line, said: “SkySea is honored to be awarded Cruise Operator for MICE Innovation of the year by M&C China Magazine. Being recognized for our ability to deliver outstanding MICE programs for corporate clients and their employees is something we take great pride in. Our shipboard and shoreside Sales and Operations teams do everything in their power to provide personalized service and customized programs for each and every one of our MICE customers”.

MICE customers choose cruise programs based on a number of characteristics such as a ship size that can meet the personalized needs of their clients, food and services onboard and a wide range of facilities for meetings and large group activities.

SkySea will customize programs based on where the customers are sourced.

For example, when the customers come from western China, SkySea will add Sichuan cuisine and when the customers come from northern China, the brand will arrange Cross Talk Shows and Perking Opera to meet their preferences. This kind of flexible and efficient management, with tailored and considerate service, has been well received by MICE customers, according to the company.
