Hurtigruten Expands US and Canada Deployment for 2018

Hurtigruten will have a major North American presence in 2018 with a season starting in April aboard the MS Fram.

The 318-passenger Fram will depart Miami in early April following a winter season in Antarctica. The vessel will sail north, up the East Coast, and offer April and May sailings between New York and Halifax, with key port calls in Boston, Newport, St. John’s and other traditional Canada/New England transit stops.

The Fram, which was built in 2007 at Fincantieri, will sail six US and Canada cruises next spring before moving to Iceland, Greenland and Northern Europe for the summer.

The ship returns to Halifax in October after a number of expedition voyages in Greenland and Northern Canada. Sailing on October 8, the Fram will offer a 12 night cruise to Miami with calls in U.S. ports including Charleston and an overnight in New York.
