World Dream Poised to Homeport in Nansha, China

When the World Dream debuts for Genting’s Dream Cruises brand later this year, it is set to sail from Nansha, China, following the signing of an agreement between Guangzhou Nansha District Tourism Bureau and Genting Hong Kong.

Nansha is the port for Guangzhou, a city with a population of 14 million people, and the third biggest in China.

TTG China reported that the ship will offer various new six-day/five-night itineraries from the new Nansha port complex.

Port calls with concentrate on the Philippines and Vietnam.

Genting’s Star Cruises brand was the first to go into the new facility in Nansha with the SuperStar Virgo in 2016 as the company had formed a strategic alliance to help develop the port.

And later in the year, the Genting Dream was christened in the Chinese port.

Guangzhou is located on the strategic Pearl River Delta, just 75 miles from Hong Kong and 90 miles from Macau.
