Colin Veitch Adds Second Lawsuit Against Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line funnelColin Veitch, former president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, has added a second lawsuit against the cruise company as part of an on-going legal dispute.

The new lawsuit was filed last week in Miami and goes after the cruise company for libel, which the filing said arised after Norwegian issued a statement to The Miami Herald that the lawsuit said was “viciously attacking Veitch’s ongoing effort to protect his good name and reputation through a prior libel suit against NCL. In essence, NCL has doubled down on its strategy to defame Mr. Veitch.”

Norwegian released the statement to The Miami Herald in response to another lawsuit, in which Veitch has filed complaints against both Norwegian Cruise Line and another former president and CEO, Kevin Sheehan, alleging not only damage to Veitch’s own reputation but also financial matters related to the IPO issued by Norwegian in 2015.
