SkySea Building Brand Positioning

Ken Muskat has joined SkySea and was named CEO in January, previously holding posts with MSC and Royal Caribbean. Min Fan has moved up to chairman, and will be the driving force on investments in the brand (more ships), and developing the long-term strategic vision of the cruise line.

Talking to Cruise Industry News in January, Muskat said he was still listening and learning.

“Having said that, we have quickly identified priorities with the team that include further solidifying our brand positioning while leveraging the great work that has already been done,” Muskat said.

On top of that, stabilization and growth is a key priority for him. “Evolving the way we work with and educate our trade distribution partners is a large part of this,” he continued. “We are putting together a concrete plan to leverage this so together we can make SkySea a successful and profitable brand that can drive demand.”

Among his top priorities for 2017 is to increase brand awareness.

“We plan to accomplish profitable ways to drive new business with our partners, provide our guests with new onboard activities and theme cruises and have a well-developed sales and service structure to support all channels,” Muskat said.
