Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Introduces More Vegetarian Options

Sakura Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has expanded its vegetarian and vegan menus.

Working alongside Europa 2’s own chef de cuisine, top chef Michael Hoffmann has developed a menu exclusively for the luxury ship, according to a statement, inspired by his own vegetarian cuisine. Due to demand, the cruise line said the selection has now been expanded to give Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ guests an even wider choice of vegetarian dishes.

There are seven restaurants to choose from aboard, including the main Weltmeere restaurant, a sushi bar and three speciality restaurants offering French, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. For those passengers who like to eat vegetarian food, each restaurant offers a special menu to reflect the restaurant’s culinary style. There is also a changing menu of vegetarian dishes served at lunchtime and in the evenings at the Yacht Club, the buffet-style restaurant onboard. These menus have been developed together with Michael Hoffmann.
