In the role, Austin will be responsible for Seabourn's overall marketing efforts, brand management, sales, and public relations.
"Chris is a perfect fit to lead our global sales and marketing efforts during a period where we are expanding our fleet and overall capacity," said Richard Meadows, president of Seattle-based Seabourn. "He is passionate about people, which is vital from a guest and trade relations standpoint. Moreover, his significant experience in the luxury travel category will help us further expand our leadership position in the ultra-luxury travel segment."
Prior to joining Seabourn, Chris spent the past 30 years of his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, most recently serving as Vice President, Global Leisure, Luxury & TMC Sales. During the time with Starwood, in addition to his executive roles, he held a number of property-based positions in food and beverage, banqueting and catering, as well as various sales roles.
Chris will start in January 2017 and will relocate from Miami to Seattle.
