Sources: Imperial Majesty Buys Prinsesse Ragnhild to Replace Aging Regal Empress

Sources have told Cruise Industry News that Imperial Majesty Cruise Line bought the Prinsesse Ragnhild from Color Line Cruises in early August to replace the 1953-built Regal Empress.

Norway-based Color Line and its parent company, Color Group, sold the 1981-built Prinsesse Ragnhild for 23 million euros on August 8 to Celebration Cruise Holdings, which sources say bought the ship on behalf of Florida-based Imperial Majesty.

Imperial Majesty, which currently sails the Regal Empress from Ft. Lauderdale on two-night Bahamas cruises, did not confirm nor deny that they were the buyer when reached by Cruise Industry News on Thursday.
