Grand Bahama Shipyard Open for Business

Grand Bahama Shipyard has reported minor damage from Hurricane Matthew and confirmed they are open for business and ready to continue serving their customers while assisting and supporting the community recovery.

The yard sustained minor damage, mainly to buildings and general property. Due to the coordinated efforts of yard employees, the yard is clear and ready to safely accept vessels. Three vessels are scheduled to arrive for work on October 14, 2016.

Hurricane Matthew, comprising winds in excess of 120 miles per hour passed through Grand Bahama island October 6, 2016 causing distruption and significant damage to the island’s infrastructure and the community in general.
