Greek Focus for easyCruise

easyCruise will not be in the Caribbean again this winter, in hopes of positioning itself as the “cruise specialist” in Greece and the Greek islands, Fotios Kalatzis, the company’s CEO told Cruise Industry News. The line will be sailing with the easyCruiseOne in the Greek islands until Oct 2008 – after which the ship will be sold. The company would not comment on the buyer. easyCruiseOne last sailed out of the Caribbean during the 2006-2007 winter season from St. Maarten.

Plans for a new easyCruise vessel are still in the works, which the line hopes to have by spring 2009. “The company is considering several options as a part of its growing strategy,” Kalatzis said.
