Crown Monarch to Launch in November

Crown Cruise Lines has announced that its new ship, the Crown Monarch, will launch seven day service from Palm Beach on November 3, 1990. The 15,000-ton, 556-passenger ship is currently being completed at the Union Naval de Levante shipyard at an estimated cost of $95 million. According to a statement from Crown, the line intends to offer a “luxury cruise at a reasonable price”. Rates were not available at press time. Ports of call will include Key West, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and “Labadie Shore”, Haiti, Crown’s private beach resort.
