The addition of the Columbus to the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet will boost capacity in 2017, with the British line set to take delivery of the ship from P&O Australia in New Zealand in April. The 1989-built vessel will undergo a drydock in Singapore before sailing to the UK to start passenger service in June out of Tilbury. She currently sails as the Pacific Pearl.

The Columbus will join the recently acquired Magellan and the classic Marco Polo in the company’s quickly expanding fleet. The addition of the Magellan alone boosted annual capacity past the 115,000 passenger mark, according to the company.
