Windstar Sail Cruises has announced that it will operate for the first time seven-day roundtrip cruises from Nassau to the “intimate” islands of the Bahamas from May 18 through October 19, 1991.

“Guests can experience the casual elegance of Windstar at substantial savings due to the low roundtrip airfares into Nassau and the strength of the American dollar in the Bahamas,” said David Giersdorf, Vice President of Marketing.

Rates start at $2,195 per person, double occupancy.

The Bahamas program replaces the previously announced Eastern Mediterranean Greek Island itinerary for Windstar. According to Giersdorf, the change was in response to consumer and travel agent concerns about the Mideast.
