Shell Marine Products Expands Global Network

Today, Shell Marine Products (SMP) announced that it is bringing its exacting operational and product quality standards to the Bahamas as the exclusive bunker supplier in Freeport, just 80 miles from the Florida coast.

Shell has extended its longstanding association with the Bahamas Oil Refining Company (BORCO) oil storage terminal. Shell will work with Vopak, who recently took over the management and development of the BORCO facility. Shell Marine Products will become the exclusive bunker supplier at the BORCO facility, offering a variety of quality marine fuels.

The BORCO facility is the largest storage terminal in the Caribbean and offers the region’s largest deepwater jetties. Delivery can currently be arranged ex-pipe or via a dedicated bunker barge, inspected and approved for use according to Shell’s rigorous global barge vetting standards.

Our customers will benefit from the supply of products under the SMP global HSSE, product quality and operational procedural standards, providing the reassurance and consistency of service enjoyed across our global network.
