P&O: Better than Expected 1991

The P&O Group has reported “better-than­ expected” results for 1991 including improved earnings for its passenger shipping divisions which includes Princess Cruises.

Passenger shipping posted earnings of 149.8 million pounds compared to 131.7 million pounds the previous year.

According to P&O, its cruise activities were “very satisfactory” and the company expects even bet­ter earnings in 1992 when the new Regal Princess will have been in service for the full year.
