Cruise Control: New International Cruise Terminal in 2010

In an effort to improve its existing cruise facilities and infrastructure to accommodate the new generation of larger cruise ships, Singapore has chosen Maunsell Consultants (Singapore) Pte Ltd to oversee engineering aspects of a new International Cruise Terminal which is expected to be complete by 2010. This will double the capacity of Singapore’s increasingly busy terminal which reported over 943,000 cruise passengers in 2007. Singapore’s strategic location between major international maritime routes and excellent air connectivity to more than 190 destinations in 60 countries worldwide makes it one of Asia’s top port cities. Several of the world’s top cruise lines such as Star Cruises, Royal Caribbean and P&O Princess already have offices in Singapore.
