Louis-Accor Talks

The Louis Group has confirmed reports in the Athens press that it has held talks with French group Accor, explaining, “Discussions concerning a cooperation between Louis Hotels and Accor are still at the preliminary stage and it is not possible to predict their outcome just yet.” While the talks reportedly involve “joint expansion in the tourism sector,” there has been no word on whether any prospective deal involves the vessels of Louis Cruise Lines or Royal Olympic Cruises (ROC). In public filings, ROC has admitted that nearly half its fleet is for sale, with deals pending for several vessels, while Louis also has several vessels available for charter. Accor is the former part owner of French operator Paquet Cruises.
