DB Schenker Launches Cruise Line Logistics Service

DB Schenker today announced it has officially launched its new Cruise Line Logistics service. The new service includes the logistics required for everything from inbound and supply management, to the distribution of finished goods, to the support of landings, dry docks, and the launch of new ships, according to a press release.

“With its vast array of resources and logistics expertise, DB Schenker is the expert in delivering solutions to meet the unique supply challenges of the ever-evolving cruise line industry,” said Philippe Gilbert, Regional CEO, Americas for DB Schenker.

DB Schenker’s Cruise Line Logistics services include dedicated warehousing operations, temperature control and monitoring, optimizing supply chain IT systems, coordinating goods for turnaround days, emergency resupplies, and logistics management for ship overhauls in dry dock and getting new ships into the water.

“With local, regional, and international assets, DB Schenker coordinates the transport of all cruise line requirements via ground, courier, air and ocean, ensuring all elements arrive on time anywhere in the world,” said Sergio Herrero, Director, Cruise Line Logistics, DB Schenker. “With bar coding, line-item reporting, palette manifesting and more, our customers always know where all their goods are at all times.”
