In his most recent position as vice president of international sales, Hickey spearheaded the sales strategy in Asia by converting the existing general sales agent (GSA) network he built into Carnival plc offices in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore.
As a result of his success working in international business and within the GSA network, Hickey has helped define key strategies for the growth and success of the Princess Cruises brand and has lead the company’s success in sourcing a diversified passenger base.
“Trey joined Princess 16 years ago and over time has continually grown the sourcing of our international passengers by developing a solid base of loyal and productive sales agents all over the globe,” said Anthony Kaufman, executive vice president of international operations for Princess Cruises. “His promotion further underscores our commitment to the Asia markets and we look forward to the contributions he will continue to bring to the organization’s growth in Asia and beyond.”
Hickey currently resides in Shanghai, where he will provide continued focus on the expansion and development of the international sales team and strategy, while continuing to manage worldwide general sales agent relationships in Europe and South America.
