NCL Places Order for New Ship

Norwegian Cruises Line (NCL) has placed an order for a new 93,000-ton, 2,400-passenger ship with Meyer Werft after its letter of intent with Aker Finnyards was terminated.

The new ship is slated for delivery in October 2007. The total contract price is approximately $510 million.

NCL has five new ships scheduled for deliveries from June 2005 through October 2007.
