Crystal Announces Fuel Surchage for New Bookings

Due to unprecedented increases in oil prices, Crystal Cruises is implementing a fuel surcharge of $12.00 per guest per day for all new bookings made on or after June 23, 2008.

Says Crystal Cruises President, Gregg Michel, “We regret any increased charges to our guests, but the fuel costs are escalating far beyond expectations.  Unfortunately, even this amount will not fully cover the increased costs we are absorbing.”

Crystal set 2009 cruise fares in late 2007 and has not initiated any increased cruise fares since the initial launch.

Guests can avoid the increased surcharge by booking now.  Prior to June 23, 2008, a $7.00 per person, per day fuel surcharge for 2008 cruises remains in effect.  By this same date, Crystal is also protecting any 2009 and 2010 bookings at the current fare, without any fuel surcharge.
