Celebrity Cruises Announces New Promotions Within the Sales Team

Celebrity Cruises has promoted two of its most talented and dedicated experts from the North American sales team, led by Dondra Ritzenthaler, SVP, Sales, Trade Support and Service.

Ron Gulaskey, formerly Global Director of Corporate, Incentives and Charter Sales, will now lead the National and Strategic Accounts team as AVP for North America, reporting to Keith Lane, VP, Field Sales and National Accounts, North America. Ron will manage the development of business opportunities with national consortia, key strategic trade partners and lead the sales support team. He joined Royal Caribbean International in 2002 as Sales Director, North East Region, and was promoted to Director of Corporate and Charter Sales for Celebrity in 2005. Ron successfully built and grew the brand’s corporate, charter and strategic partner business, and last year added global responsibility to this remit. He has an MBA from George Mason University.

Gilda Romero has been promoted to Director of Inside Sales and Sales Communication, reporting to Keith Lane. Gilda will lead the two teams, driving sales with new to mid-sized travel partners and delivering communications to travel partners and to the Celebrity field sales team. Gilda will also continue to manage the sales portfolio, giving strategic and tactical direction to the Celebrity field sales team. She began her career in the call center over 30 years ago and progressed through the company, working in different roles in the Air Sea, Marketing and Revenue departments, before moving to Sales.

“With these well-deserved promotions, we are further building upon the great momentum we have with our valued travel partners and keeping Celebrity at the very top of the industry,” said Keith Lane, VP, Field Sales and National Accounts, North America. “Both Gilda and Ron have incredible experience and skills, and we look forward to their continued success in these valuable new roles.”

With these appointments, Celebrity Cruises continues its strong tradition of supporting the travel agent community.
