Norwegian Star Heading for Asia?

Is Norwegian Cruise Line planning an Asia season, and moving capacity out of the Caribbean?

Despite an announced 2016-2017 season in the Caribbean, the Norwegian Star is booked into a berth in Hong Kong on Monday, January 16, 2017, as noted on the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal website (pictured below).

The site lists the call as a transit stop – meaning the ship could be heading elsewhere in Asia, for example, homeporting at a mainland Chinese port.

Or, Norwegian could be introducing a world cruise on the Star, or perhaps the Miami-based company has simply reserved a space in-case a re-deployment decision comes.
